JANET CARDIFF’S “HER LONG BLACK HAIR”
Cardiff manage to capture sound and narrative in the most astonishing way. We get to see her world through her voice, albeit it can get a little ghostly. RUTH SERGEL/STREET PICTURE’S “CHALK”
This written memoir is a great testimony for the deceased who was the victim of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire. The victims may not have strut the street as heroes/celebrities in the time of their living, but the act of inscribing their names reflect the community respect to the deceased, it also create a plausible blurred narrative of their daily commute to work and home.
